It’s the wee hours of a Saturday morning, a time often referred to as the middle of the night. It’s long past time for me to get some sleep, but I’m not going to. I’m going to be phoning this in instead.
The Comey indictment has got to be the last straw. And the stinking gall of that chief legal sycophant creep to crow that “no one is above the law” while she bows and scrapes to an endlessly lie-spewing insurrectionist, rapist, likely pedophile and certain mass murderer! How many more murders will he commit? Make no mistake, they won’t all be in international waters. No, there’s no time for sleep now, even if it were possible.
No way it’s possible any longer while watching the depth of the unfolding horror of injustice around us, the unfathomable scope of the criminality, immorality and sheer insanity that’s like something out of a bad horror movie that we would have laughed off as patently absurd only a few years ago.
Bottom line: We force an end to this dictatorship now or we’re finished, we’re done.
Maybe it’s time for us to declare our own government shutdown or a march on the Capitol the likes of which has never been seen. Another insurrection? Absolutely not. Millions of Americans demanding all of congress to do its job? Absolutely. It’s time to understand the dire need for all of us to save our country.
We re-become us or its over. Does everyone understand that? Does everyone understand that? I don’t think everyone does. Sure, I’d love to just sit around and watch football this weekend like countless millions of other Americans, and I’m sure I’ll sneak some in. But every American now has got to commit to being aware at every moment of what’s at stake and commit to being ready to be part of a national mobilization of citizens not seen since our country pulled off the greatest mobilization in history after we were dragged into World War II.
There can be no excuse, no time and no option left for this congress to allow another day of this horror. As with every mad dictator, every inch allowed becomes a mile, and every mile becomes a lightyear. What’s it going to take? After all we’ve witnessed already, what’s going to be next? Deportation of law-abiding American citizens? How do public executions grab you? How about indictments of former presidents?
The Comey indictment flashes the unmistakable warning that we’re an inch away from it, and that inch, like the ones before it, will quickly become a mile and then a lightyear that we will never be able to return from.
So, America, what’s it gonna be? Or should I say, “Sweet dreams”?
